Ranging from Albany, Saratoga, Troy, and everywhere in between, Glass Ceiling Effect is a product of its environment and far different from what you've come to expect from hip hop today. The artists affiliated with G.C.E. have all faced significant challenges in bringing their music to your ears. This is a different type of NY State of Mind. GEL is a piece of shit, a real waste of space. Originally from the valley of the sun, Phoenix, AZ. GEL, over the years used his surroundings and fucked up childhood to form what is his style of rapping today. With a brutal, raw, no holds bar type style, GEL is out for blood. While majority of GEL's peers were busy listening to whatever bullshit was being played on MTV throughout Jr. High and High School GEL pulled his musical influence from Big Daddy Kane, Big L, The Misfits, Danzig, Nirvana, Big Pun, Slayer, and many more, which helped to form his uncensored rip your face off style. GEL started by writing to instrumentals of his favorite emcees, having never had a producer to get original beats from it wasn't until about 2 years ago when GEL came into contact with fellow GCE member Melvin Junko that he was able to actually start getting serious with his writing and recording.
